My first whole pear

She picked up a pear while we were not looking

and began to eat it.

She thought the whole thing was very funny.

She ate it just like her birthday cake.

She put it up to her mouth and wouldn't take it away.

While we were singing to her, she look confused as to why everyone was crowded around her high chair...

At first, she was hesitant to dig in, as if she was unsure if it was okay
Then she gets her first taste of icing ..

And after Dustin cuts up her cake so she can see the inside, she starts to eat it

Too lazy to pick up the cake, she decides to just stuff her face into it.


She got some cake on her arm and was licking it off.

She loved her cake, and ate a surprising amount of it. Happy 1st Birthday Mackenzie!

Opening presents

This robe is from Lori and Bob .. it's so cute-it has little Sock Monkies all over it, which is perfect since her nickname is Monkey.
She got tired of opening and wanted to play instead.
Her daddy helped her open her presents.
With Christmas just being over, and now she gets to open presents again on her birthday, she's going to think that she gets presents all the time!

I love her tongue sticking out .. what a silly baby!
